These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Pepe Diary iOS app ("the app"). By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Pepe Diary lets you log your dog's daily routine — food, poop, mood, symptoms, care, and more — and optionally generates AI-powered health summaries from that history ("Insights"). It can also use AI to draft timeline entries from a vet-history PDF you upload ("Smart Import"), which you review and confirm before anything is saved. Some features require a Pepe Diary Pro subscription.
Both Insights and Smart Import use AI, which does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice, and whose output — including AI-generated health summaries and AI-extracted document data — may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always review Smart Import drafts against the source document before confirming them, always consult a licensed veterinarian for any concerns about your pet's health, and seek immediate veterinary care in an emergency. Never delay seeking veterinary care because of something you read in the app.
Free users get access to a weekly AI health insight, gated by how much routine data has been logged that week. Smart Import (importing a vet-history PDF) is available to Pepe Diary Pro subscribers only. We may change the gate's thresholds, cadence, or availability at any time.
You agree not to:
You may share a pet's data with another Pepe Diary user (e.g. a family member). If you do, that person will be able to view and edit that pet's data. Either of you can end the sharing arrangement by removing yourself from the pet — a co-owner can't remove the original owner's access. You're responsible for who you choose to share a pet with.
You retain ownership of the photos, notes, and other content you add to the app ("your content"). By using the app, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your content solely as needed to provide the app's features (including sending relevant data to our AI provider to generate Insights or process a Smart Import PDF, as described in our Privacy Policy). We don't claim ownership of your content and don't use it for any purpose beyond operating the app.
The app itself — its design, code, and branding — is owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the app as intended.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated Insights will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app — including any decision made about your pet's care based on information in the app.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
We may discontinue Pepe Diary, or specific features of it (including Insights, Smart Import, or Pro subscriptions), at any time. If we discontinue the app entirely, we'll give reasonable advance notice in the app where possible, and you'll be able to export your routine history as a CSV from the Account screen before the service becomes unavailable. If you have an active Pro subscription at the time of discontinuation, we'll stop charging you going forward; refunds for any unused portion of a current billing period are handled through Apple in accordance with their policies.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by other reasonable means before the change takes effect. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence that cannot be waived by contract.
